We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our dynamic promotional products company. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional to contribute to our continued growth while working in a fast-paced, fun and creative industry.
Position Overview
As a Staff Accountant, you will play a key role in maintaining our financial records, A/R, A/P, supporting month-end close processes, and ensuring accurate financial reporting. You'll work closely with our team to support day-to-day accounting operations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3-5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of GAAP principles
- Proficiency in accounting software and advanced Excel skills
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Multi-state sales tax experience is a strong plus
- Experience with Quickbooks On-Line
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with daily accounting as well as monthly, quarterly, and annual financial close processes
- Reconcile bank statements and balance sheet accounts
- Support accounts payable and receivable functions
- Assist with sales tax compliance and reporting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects

Stowebridge was founded by Ron Thomas in 1994, in upstate New York. The company started with two file cabinets with a door across the top to create a desk, what was, back then, a state-of-the-art Apple computer, and a microfiche machine to look up product information.
